The uses of honey for the skin are many and below you are going to find several skin care recipes you can elaborate at home.

1- Eye Skin Care

To prevent sagging skin around the eye area mix 3 spoons of fresh cream with one spoon of honey. Apply with care, over the skin around your eyes, maintaining the eyes closed all the way. Remain with this mixture for 10 minutes and rinse it off with the help of a wet tissue or cotton. Pat dry and apply your usual eye product.

2- Skin Toner

Boil 1 tbsp of honey and 1 apple that has been peeled and deseeded. Apply the apple paste over the skin and leave for 15 minutes. Cleanse with tepid water.

3- Honey Mask for Oily skin

Mix these ingredients to make a facial mask: one spoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of glycerin, an egg white, and keep adding flour until you get a smooth paste. Spread it all over the face area and if you wish the neck too. Leave for around 10 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water.

4- Add Honey to Your Bath Water

To indulge your body add a cup of milk and half cup of honey to the water in your bath. Your skin should be really smooth after this bath. Alternatively, to restore moisture and youth to the body add a cup of honey, a cup of salt and one liter of milk to the bath water. Bath for no longer than ten minutes and rinse off using your usual body gel.

5- Body Conditioner

Mix 1 tsp of vegetable oil with one spoon of honey and one teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply it over your body, insisting in the dry areas. Leave on for around 15 minutes and wash afterwards.

6- Blemish Help

Mix a bit of salt with half cup of warm water. Using a cotton ball apply constant pressure to soften the blemish. Now apply honey with a cotton and leave it for around ten minutes. Wash and dry.

7- Taking Care of Lips

If your lips are chapped or your skin around the lips is dry and with fine lines apply a bit of honey over the area.

8- Get Rid of Dead Skin with this Body Scrub

Use half glass of freshly grounded coffee, one spoon of grape seed oil, two spoons of honey, 1/4 cup of buttermilk, 2 spoons of wheat germ, one egg white. Mix the honey, egg white, buttermilk and grape seed oil. Add the coffee and the wheat germ very slowly to prevent the formation of lumps. Rub your body with this mixture and wash it off. The skin should be like new and very soft.

9- Cleanse the Skin with Honey

a- Mix 1 tbsp of runny honey, 2 tablespoons of fine almonds as well as 1/2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice. Massage it onto your face. Wash it out using lukewarm water.

b- Elaborate a natural skin cleanser by mixing honey and powder milk. Gently cleanse the skin with this mixture and apply your usual skin care product. Great to get rid of skin’s impurities.

10- Acne Help

Honey can be used to relieve acne. Boil elder leaves for about 10 minutes and leave to cool. Drink a daily cup of this tea sweetened with a spoon of honey.

11- Honey Mask for Dry Skin

a- If you suffer from dry skin mix a bit of honey with a spoon of flour, a spoon of olive oil and an egg yolk. Apply over dry areas of the skin, leave for 20 minutes and risen it off with warm water. Repeat twice weekly.

b- Blend a small cucumber with an egg white, a spoon of olive oil, a spoon of honey and two spoons of oats. Make a paste with this mixture and apply over the face and neck for about 10 or 15 minutes. Wash it off with warm water. Ideal for smoothing the skin and improving dry skin. It can be used in the body as well.

12- Lemon and Honey for Skin Wrinkles

This homemade recipe can be used to diminish wrinkles. Just mix a spoon of honey with lemon juice. Apply with a massage over the wrinkles and then all over the skin. Leave for 10 minutes and wash it using warm water.

13 – Facial & Body Scrub

Exfoliate the skin making a mixture with honey and almond power. Rub the skin gently in circular motions for one minute. Rinse using warm water and apply your daily moisturizer. Ideal to get rid of dead cells and debris.
